Past Research Areas
Systems Optimization
Our overall goal is to develop novel concepts, methods, and tools for large-scale optimization in order to improve our ability to analyze and design complex systems. Specifically, our focus is on multi-objective evolutionary algorithms.
Speech Processing
Major research directions we are following are rule-based language models for speech recognition, improving speech recognition through linguistics, prosody control in polyglot text-to-speech synthesis, and speaker verification.
Data Exchange Optimization
We are researching on the automation of this highly hardware-dependent task, such as to increase code portability and to relieve the programmer of being required to understand all details of the memory architecture.
